What are Navarre Beach cabin rentals really like?

Our navarre beach cabin rentals are fully furnished luxury cottages built for a comfortable stay, not roughing it. The cabins sleep up to 6, depending on the layout: a queen bed in the bedroom plus two twins in the loft, and the larger layout adds a twin bunk. You get a full kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and coffee makers, a living room that has its own television and a loveseat, and a full bathroom with a sink and shower. DirecTV runs on both the bedroom and living room TVs.

We stock the things you’d otherwise haul from home: linens, bath and hand and face towels, coffee and creamer, paper towels, toiletries like shampoo and body wash, toilet paper, and basic cleaning supplies. There are picnic tables and BBQ grills around the grounds, and a Camp Store on-site for anything you forgot. Most cabins even have a dishwasher.

How far is Splash from Navarre Beach?

Splash sits about 25 miles from Navarre Beach, which works out to roughly a 30-minute drive. We’re in Milton, FL, not on the beach itself, and honestly that’s the point. You get the same easy access to the Gulf as the pricey beachfront places, plus a full resort waiting when you get back, and you skip the beachfront premium. Pensacola is a similar hop west, around 25 miles, so you can bounce between two Gulf Coast towns from one home base.

Navarre Beach is worth the short drive. The water really does turn that postcard emerald-green over sugar-white sand.

Cabin vs. condo vs. Airbnb near Navarre Beach

When people search navarre beach vacation rentals, they usually land on three options: a beachfront condo, an Airbnb, or a cabin at a resort like ours. Cabins are increasingly the pick: cabins and pods are the single largest category in the North American glamping market at about 43 percent, according to Grand View Research. They’re not the same experience, so here’s a plain comparison.

The tradeoff is simple. Condo rentals in navarre beach put you on the sand but stack cleaning and service fees on top of a high nightly rate, and the on-site amenities vary a lot from one building to the next. An Airbnb near Navarre Beach can be charming or a gamble, and you often pay a cleaning fee whether you stay two nights or twenty. A cabin at Splash trades a short drive for a full resort, predictable inclusions, and a lot more room to spread out.

Can you rent a cabin near Navarre Beach monthly?

Yes, and this is where a resort cabin really pulls ahead. Between September and February, we offer a select few of our cottages for monthly rental, which is perfect for snowbirds escaping a northern winter. To set up a monthly stay, just reach out to us to lock in your snowbird deal. Ring (850) 600-8500 and we’ll walk you through what’s available.

A quick, honest note on winter: Gulf Coast winters here are mild and sunny, with typical January highs in the low 60s and cool 40s nights, so it’s sweater-and-sunshine weather, not swimming weather. The lazy river stays open year-round and the pools are heated, so there’s still water to enjoy on a warm afternoon. You can read more on our Florida snowbird page.

What’s there to do around Navarre Beach?

Plenty, and most of it is a short drive from your cabin. Florida is the most-visited state in the country, drawing a record 142.9 million visitors in 2024, according to VISIT FLORIDA, and the Gulf Coast beaches are a big part of the draw. The Navarre Beach Fishing Pier stretches 1,545 feet into the Gulf, making it the longest pier over the open Gulf of Mexico in Florida. If you’d rather get in the water, the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary has free public snorkeling reefs just off the shore, open sunrise to sunset inside the Navarre Beach Marine Park.

For a bigger day out, the Gulf Islands National Seashore protects miles of Gulf shoreline near Navarre and Pensacola. Gulf Islands National Seashore charges a per-vehicle entrance fee (about $25), and it’s some of the most untouched coast on the Panhandle. You can read the details at the National Park Service: nps.gov/guis

When you’re not chasing the beach, everything back at the resort is yours. The lazy river winds through the property year-round, there are heated pools, and dual water slides (you’ll need to be 48 inches tall to ride). Spend your mornings on the sand and float away your afternoons back at the resort. For more ideas, see our local guide to Milton, Navarre and Pensacola.
